Honor for Coach Craft

    Congratulations to Hickory High School baseball coach David Craft as being named one of eight "coaches who make a difference" by virtue of their exemplary sportsmanship. The Homer Thompson Memorial Eight Who Make a Difference award will be given to him at the upcoming NCHSAA regional meeting later this month.

    I've known Coach Craft since we were in high school and can attest to his strong character and respect for the game. He is certainly well deserving of this honor. I know that his dad and legendary HHS Coach Washam would be very proud as well.

    Agreed. Had the oppty to meet and coach agauinst him twice. Fine person.
