Charlotte Cobras players Kelly Braman & Makenzi McAteer Commit!

    Makenzi McAteer (3B,SS,OF) - Parkwood Highschool

    The ladies had their official visits this weekend to Western Carolina University and have accepted offers to become Catamounts in the Fall of 2010. Kelly and Mak gave their verbal commitment with Coach Christine Hornak, at separate times, just today.

    Neither Mak or Kelly knew they would end up teammates in college, it was simply the right fit for them both after weighing their options. They are both very happy and excited abut their future. Both players are difference makers for the teams they play for and both have had exceptional summers. They have been a lot of fun to coach, but even more fun to watch. The Cobra Coaching Staff is very happy for you both and cannot wait to see you in purple next year!

    Have a wonderful senior year ladies; you deserve it! :jump:

    Congrats Kelly and Mak. Not only great athletes, but excellent students and teammates. Leah, Erin and I have enjoyed coaching, playing and watching both of you over the last several years. Very exciting to see your dreams come true.

    Have fun at WCU and enjoy the rest of your fall/next summer!

    I know mom and dad are very proud. Known dad for a while, great family.

    Great kid with unlimited skills!!

    I think she got the skills AND looks from mom......:clapclap:
