The Falcons fumbled the opening kickoff and Mooresville converted it into a field goal to lead 3-0. But that was it for the Blue Devils as WR rolled up 48 unanswered points before calling off the dogs in the 4th quarter. Mooresville falls to 0-4 on the season but it wont get any easier as they open up IMECK 4A conference play next week at Mallard Creek.

East Forsyth had the ball on the 2 twice in the 4th quarter and failed to score...RJR improves to 5-0

    Wilmington Ashley 20
    West Brunswick 21

Ashley led 20-7 at the half but the Trojans pitched a shut out in the 2nd half got the offense going

West Brunswick is 3-1 and will play rival South Brunswick next week!!

Cougars dominate going up 35-0 at the half. They call off the dogs in the 2nd half as this one could have been really ugly. Patton was without their starting qb and they lost their backup to an injury as well. They ended up with tb Brandon Bethel taking snaps for the 2nd half. Alexander Cenral goes to 5-0 for the first time since 2006. Two more defensive touchdowns tonight for the Cougars including another by DE Blake Baker. That's two in two weeks for the Cougars leader on defense. By the way Alexander Central has won 7 straight going back to last season and that is the 5th longest active winning streak in the state. Reidsville, Mt Airy, West Rowan, and Newton Conover are the only streaks longer than the Cougars. AC opens conference play at Fred T Foard next week.
