Dylan Newton from JF Webb High becomes the second player in a week to committ to UNC-G. Dylan is an upper 80's guy with a great cutter. He has a great frame and is still growing. He is a great guy to coach--is always a team first, yes sir kid.We at Webb are very proud of him as I know his parents are too.He has a great deal of character and is a terrific young man.UNC-G got a good one.Congrats Dylan!

Congratulations to Dylan and the Newton's. There was a lot of hard work put in day and night for this commitment to come true. We are all very proud of this.

    Congratulations Dylan!

We are so happy that all of your hard work has earned you the opportunity to play at the next level. You should be proud of yourself for this accomplishment. Congratulations to Kathy and Rusty also, we know you are proud of Dylan.

Congrats Dylan to you and your family. Once again Webb and Lake Monsters Baseball produce another fine ball player. Congrats to all the coaches involved as well, you guys are doing a great job producing ball players who have the will to work year round at their craft.

    UNCG

UNCG has several starters and players from last year still attending school at UNCG but not playing baseball. One main or head reason! Maybe with new AD changes will be made. Word to HS players do your homework before making quick decisions!

May not be the right place to voice opinions

Sacbunt, this young man made a school decision that I am sure he is very proud of. He should be!! And I say that as a parent of one of the players that did not return to play at UNCG this year. Maybe a separate thread would be appropiate.

It did not work out for him. He chose UNCG for the school first (the right decision) and for the asst coach that recruited him (a decision that doesn't always work) who left before he arrived on campus. But.... He loved the school.

Dylan, contratulations on your accomplishment! You are moving on to a very competitive D1 conference and a great school. You need to work harder than you have ever worked this coming spring and summer. And I say that to any young man moving on to the next level. You all start at ground zero when you set foot on campus next August.

Any other comments are not deserving of this thread.
