Chad Whitehead P/C of Lawrence Academy just made a verbal commitment to play at UNC-Pembroke. Chad is a big kid who is only going to get better and better. UNC-P did a great job with this one. I know his family is proud as we are here with the Lake Monsters as well.

    Way to Go!

I find myself saying this a lot here lately but this is another example of not just a great ballplayer getting a chance to play college baseball but an even better young man. I've coached Chad a few times and my son has played with him quite a bit over the years. Chad is an outstanding young man. If you ever see Coach Axel Smith around ask him what he thinks of Chad.
