Newton-Conover travels to Icard to play E. Burke. This should be a good game to watch even if you don't care who wins. Newton coming off a loss to Bandys should be eager to get back in the win column. Should be a knock down drag out fight in the CVAC.

This is an interesting game. I think East Burke has a real shot at getting the win.

Newton will have trouble if they can't stop the pass or pass a little themselves. The big thing last week was silly penalties. NC had at least 3 TDs called back, not to mention a few missed FGs by a dependable kicker.

    Interesting

I have been looking forward to see who wins this game all year. The loss by NC last week just adds to the suspense.

They both should be pretty good on defense in this game because they both run their main offense outa the same set in the flexbone. Both EB and NC are great are running the wingbacks in traps, sweeps, options, etc. they also are good at pounding the FB and then drop back for a little option pass.

Offensively I think they will have some success but honestly I think the score around halftime will probably be 10-7 or so. Majority of the scoring will probably take place once the defenses begin to get worn down.

NC seems to have the advantage on special teams, although looks like from the mention of missed kicks last week that maybe its not as great as we thought.

Coaching staffs are both great at attacking opposing teams and finding something that they do well and running that down the other teams throats.

Great game ahead in Icard. Be there or more than likely miss one of the best games from the area this year.

Im going to pick NC...i feel as though they may be able to muster up a little more offense than EB this week. We all know that EB has had some teams in the past and coming off a loss last week NC is going to have something to prove as the defending state champs. Look out Icard, the Red Devils are coming to town.
