The Blues are headed to Ediston NJ this weekend to play in one of the top east coast showcase events.
29 teams- 125 college coaches already committed, all games played at one complex!
Our players have gotten confirmation from tons of schools that they will be there to watch, many from NC, SC, VA, and Tenn.
Rick attended the summer addition and did really well and said it was a great one. We are excited to get a berth for the fall classic..
According to list of schools attending the ACC, SEC, Big 12, PAC 10, Atlantic 10, Big Ten, and many other conferences will be represented as well as D-11 conferences, D-111, NAIA.
Hopefully the weather will hold for all teams to play their 6 games and we can represent well.
Sickness may have taken two of our pitchers out of mix, will not know till Friday when we play.

    Good Luck Lady Blues!

We had a blast playing up there in the summer.
Jim Barsalona and Team NJ run great events. We got a lot of looks from a totally different group of college folks who don't see us week in and week out.
We would have loved to been able to attend this one too but finances wouldn't allow it this year.
We will be going back to the summer tournament though and from all we saw, it is well worth the trip.
Hope it all goes well for ya'll too!
Have a great time and hope the kids get well.

    Play Hard !!

It takes time and effort / scarifice to get to the next level, Rodney , Rick and others do a great job helping kids get there. Sometimes the effort seems difficult, but the pot of gold is at the end of the rainbow. I'm glad that my recruiting days are over, but it was fun hanging with the best in the industry over the last 13 years. Good Luck to all in New Jersey, and remember when you think it's too late it might just be getting started !!

    Friday

Loss 2-0 to Tremors Gold and Won 4-0 against the Rocks! Our pitchers all threw well today but bats just did not come through with big hits! Against Tremors, first inning, get runners on second and third nobody out and did not score. Three hits, give up five hits!:N1OopsHL:

    Today

Beat NJ Breakers Gold 3-2 and lost to Rock Island Gold 2-0, drizzling rain, real windy and cool , again did not hit, 3 hits, no sacrifices in four attempts. Young team but getting better.

    you forgot the important stuff!

Great tournament! Most fun I've had outside of Colorado!
Lots of coaches, great competition - but for me....
The real hit was the hospitality and food!!!
Pizza! Mussels, Scungilli Salad, Giambotta, Veal, Chicken Scarpariello, Antipasti, Eggplant, Zeppola's, Clams, Taylor Ham, Hard Rolls, Semolina Bread, cookies and pastries from great bakeries...people with authentic Italian accents! and all the Guido's! Did i say REAL Pizza? Fawgettaboutit!!!
The coaches were fed a huge buffet of authentic italian food daily brought in from Brooklyn, Manhatten and the best bakeries around... Jim Barsalona puts on a great tournament. Heck, the snack bar was better than most restaurants.....
Looking forward to going back in the summer.... It was great getting to see "Flippy" too!
Some folks had some trouble with the Train Schedule.. so shame on them, but that's life.
