Be part of the first NC based youth team to play in Australia!

The North Carolina Pride is holding tryouts for 16U and 18U teams to play in Australia next August 4-20, 2010. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for student athletes to experience the exciting culture Australia has while representing NC and the US on the ball field!

Tryouts will be Saturday, November 14th, 10:00am at Knightdale H.S.

This is not an attempt to draw players away from their current travel teams. We only want to borrow you for the trip! Visit our web site at http://sportstravelacademy.com/teams/baseball-softball

Don't miss out on the chance to play ball Down Under!

Yep I Agree With Cheeze !!

I got the same response. The whole trip will probably cost between $6,000.00 to $8,000.00:no: once you pay for food :FODIeat2:and souvenirs:nono:, and anything else you might want to do..and who are you playing ??? :thinking:I've never heard of this organization, has it been mainly baseball oriented ???

Read ALL of the material. The cost is $4770 per player, which includes meals. What you spend on souveniers is up to you. Site seeing is also built into the cost and the agenda.

Craig Douglass has been taking students to Australia since 1998 for basketball, soccer, athletic training and sports management. Next summer will be the first time we introduce baseball and softball. Softball is very big in Australia, just ask the US Olympic teams from a few years ago.

Two of our teams are already half filled, so the tryouts will be used to fill the remaining spots. As for why... VERY few high school age kids have the opportunity to go to Australia to play ball. Cost is a big factor, but if you can make it work, you'll never forget the experience!

    Rosters?

Can you share who you already have commited on both teams? It would be really cool to make the trip with a ballteam loaded with talent. It would be not-so-cool to go over with a group of "B-type" players.....

    You got any studs?

    I'm With DDD..

What kind of talent are you taking going half way around the world ? Good ball players or average players ? I mean 20 some hours in a plane to get your butts kicked wouldn't be any fun. What is the purpose again to fly so far to play softball ? Sounds intriguing but why Australia ?? Help me understand the purpose of this...thx Guru
