Bases r Loaded Inc. is open in Asheville

There is a new baseball and softball training facility opened in Asheville, NC. It is called Bases r Loaded Inc. It is located at 6 Fairview Rd. and they had a sign in the window reading: For information call 828-450-0934. Just thought there may be some interested folks on TBR.

Also, facility has a double bullpen with dirt on the inside of the building, cages with Iron Mikes, an indoor groundball/defensive area, a fungoman machine, weightroom, individual lessons, and future renovation plans involving constructing an outdoor auxillary infield on site which should be this spring according to management.

 

Who is "management"

 

This will make the third facility in Asheville. Darin Chaplain, former Montreat HC, opened The Diamond Mine several years ago and Darren Holmes, Asheville native and former MLB pitcher owns Acceleration Sports Institute, which is more of a sports training facility, but he does have batting cages and indoor mounds, and he and his staff give hitting and pitching lessons. This new facility sounds really nice though.

Holmes has closed ASI in Asheville. Greenville, SC is where he is spending most of his time working these days.

have been to Bases r Loaded in Asheville and it is the most complete facility that I have seen in the area. They have side by side dirt bullpens in their building as well as a gym and enough baseball & softball training equipment to all of us happy for a while.Very cool place....

 

Worked out at with my daughter at Bases r Loaded yesterday. Great facility, friendly staff. Seems to have everything needed for a complete workout....the dirt is a major plus.
