    Alexander Central HS and 2011 CBC Diamond Rat outfielder Lucas LaSalle committed to App St. this week.

    If you never seen this "man-child" play he is an old school hardballer who plays the game the way it is meant to be played.

    Congrats to Lucas. I have coached this kid before and there is no doubt he is going to do special things in college. He is a great kid and hard worker. Also congrats to Terry and Daryll!!!!!

    Congrats Lucas, App St. is getting a good one. Nice to stay close to home and going to a great program.

    Congrat to Lucas. I had the pleasure of playing with him, and must say he is an outstanding young man. Good-luck in all your future endeavours!

    Congratulations Lukas. App St. is getting a great player and and even better kid. I had the pleasure of coaching Lukas a few years ago and have never seen a more competitive kid. Lukas is a special player that works as hard as any player I have seen over the years.

    Congratulations to Terry and Darryll. I know they are very proud of Lukas and his accomplishments.

    Congrats to Lucas. App is getting a special player. This kid plays the game the right way every time he steps on the field..Congrats to Daryl and Terry.

    Congratulations, Luke!

    Congrats to the LaSalle family! Luke is a great hitter....doesn't swing through many and definitely puts some full extension pop on it. He's not someone you want bearing down on you when he's running the bases either!

    If you want to see how it's done, just come on out to the Hittin' Shack in Taylorsville!

    I have watched Lukas play since T-ball and watched him grow into a terrific young man and baseball player. Not only am I proud of him, I am proud of his Dad, Mom and Sister for all the support and encouragement they have given him. App State is getting one of the best! Good going Bud!
