That is what it is about!

That is fine but it has inspired a number of people and may inspire others just as fiction has inspired us all at times.
However thanks for your research, it is good to know.

This is a great story but according to Snopes research it is not true

    _______________________________________________________________

There is always SOMEONE who will go out of there way to try and ruin something that is good.

    I enjoyed this story. Thanks

    And.....

So, what's your point? Hopefully it isn't that the moral of the story is useless..... good info / fact or fiction... experience, strength, hope...

In homerun's defense I don't think he meant his post negatively; I think he was just making sure someone didn't mistake it for fact.

I recall the story of Nat King Cole's daughter being helped by a white driver after her car broke down trying to get to her father's bedside before he died. The driver was rewarded with a color tv later. The story was uplifting but it wasn't true either.

Both stories are great morally. Truth is also a moral.

    Don't Bogart!

Since when does Daddy Ball have any kind of morality? What kind of stuff do you guys smoke? The only acts of kindness you better be teaching kids I would hope is off the field, because otherwise your going to get beat. Pat a kid on the back for a job well done while your DD takes her place on the roster.
