    Jip Richards, North Meck 2010 P/IF, commits to the Davidson Wildcats.

    85-87 on the mound with a tight slider.

    Some of the best defense around at 3rd and 1st base and can also swing it.

    Congratulations to Jip on not only a great accomplishment in baseball, but an ever better accomplishment in the classroom.

    Watch out for the Vikings in 2010!

    Congrats Jip. Davidson is getting a very good ball player. I know the family is proud of your accomplishment. It is well deserved. With CMS having all of these zoning questions, maybe you could be rezoned and become a MC Maverick.

    What a great accomplishment! I know Jim, Mary-Lib, and Rich are proud.
    You all must be so proud to have him playing so close to home, and at your alma matter. Since I am only three miles away, I'll get to see some games as well.

    Congratulations, Jip! It was fun watching you play last summer, and we're looking forward to seeing you at Davidson. Hope you'll get to some of this season's games when you're not playing for North. It should be a blast! Best wishes and congratulations to your parents, too.

    Jip, CBC is happy for you and your family. Jake Robbins and myself never understood why your weren't zero'd in on sooner. Not only did you show the physical tools to play at the next level you aalso possess that competitive spirit that winners are made of. Funny how things find a way of working out. CBC wishes you nothing short of greatness on the field, in the classroom and in life.

    Jip will be a good fit at Davidson. He is a good kid that should only get better. He will be an important part of the North Meck HS team this spring. Congrats Jip
