    Interesting Site

    Thought you might find the site interesting. The author seems to put a lot of thought into the development of his listings and seems to have a defined methodology.

    Anonymous said... #144 Hunter May: I have seen May throw on several occassions. His FB tops 90 combined with a ++CU. He throws strikes and hits his spots while pitching to contact. He will throw the CU at anytime in the count. He is highly projectable at 6'3" 187lbs. with tremendous upside as he just turn 17 on 9/22/09. Whoever takes him will have a gem that will improve any pitching staff.

    Anonymous said... How do you come up with the list of players to rank and what is your method for putting them in order?

    Garrioch said... I read anything I can find around the internet about prospects and I try to get a variety of information.
    Baseball America, Perfect Game, and ESPN are where I get most of my info. I don't subscribe to PG or prospect plus, as I don't have the cash flow to do it, but I look all over the web. YouTube has videos of some of these guys. Baseball beginnings is a site I just found that has some info on prospects. Andy Seiler has a great blog and Lincoln over at project prospect has some really good info but is mostly college guys.

    Anonymous said... I saw Harper at the AFLAC and quite frankly was a bit disappointed.

    As good as he has been touted, you'd think he'd at least get one hit...Secondly, I don't see him as a Catcher down the road.

    Gotta Love the Hype.

    Ray said... Your top 10 is dead on. The OF order is more like;
    Keyes
    Wilson
    Brentz
    Sale
    Griffin
    Lorenzen
    Dean
    Parker
    Landry
    Ragira
    Hahn

    3B order;
    Wilson
    Gyorko
    Bryant
    Lewis
    Sanchez
    Antonio
    Allie
    Cowart

    SS order;
    Cabrera
    Dietrich
    Hague
    Lipka
    Rutledge
    Littlewood
    Wolters
    Frey
    Alvord

    Too early to call on P. HS season will dictate further due to health and p velos.

    What do you think about such lists? Any players that aren't listed that should be?

    Just wondering I am from the area and I know a little about charlotte schools but I was wondering if Hunter May from Hopewell has signed anywhere? I just think that if he was in top 150 that he would be signed.

    Newcoach he's all he's labeled to be and probably a little bit more. Has he signed anywhere, don't know what's the rush or maybe he has and just has not announced.

    Wow! I looked at the list and out of 150 named from the entire US (and some Canada) there were only 57 high schoolers and the rest were college players. I was surprised that there were no other highly-touted players from NC on the list (All-Staters, State Games players, etc)

    Amazing......

    As can be expected from a pitcher with a lot of talent, he has many options and he is in the process of narrowing his choices. As PitchingCoach mentioned---there is absolutely no rush.

    It's funny how the recruiting landscape has changed. This is the normal time most seniors with options are deciding, but with the advent of early recruiting, people seem to be panicking when there is no need to.
