Core Athletics will be holding an open house on January 9th, from 11am - 2pm. We will open the facility at no charge to hit in the cages, test your speed with our radar gun on the dirt mounds and take in some informational sessions with featured guests (Dr. Kevin Burroughs, Sports Med orthopedic; Todd Coffey, Milwaukee Brewers Pitcher; Robert Johnson, Roush Racing strength/conditioning coordinator, and Adrian Gantt, Catawba College asst softball coach).

Join us to take a look at our renovated facility in the old Armory, downtown Concord, just 2.5 miles off I-85 at exit 58. Fifteen minutes from Concord Mills Mall.

We provide baseball and softball instruction to Concord and surrounding areas.

    Core Athletics

I highly recommend everyone that is interested in both baseball and softball to come out and check out the Core Athletics facility.
David Darwin has done a tremdous job and you will find everything you need to better your game at this facility. Centrally located in Concord, it is conventient to all in Cabarrus and surronding counties.
Over the years we have used this facility and it has the best dirt mounds around for keeping that sharp edge.
    Happy New Year!

Take advantage of this offer if you live up that way. Even an aging leffhanded pitcher David Darwin can be one of the good guys on this crazy carolina baseball scene. Darwin loves the game and developing kids. He does do the right thing.

Core Athletics open house will feature a great line-up of speakers; they will each talk and then take questions:

12:00 - Quincy Boyd (Boston Red Sox Scout) talking about what scouts look for and what separates players

12:30 - Todd Coffey (Milwaukee Brewers pitcher) - mechanics and pitching in the big leagues

1:00 - Adrian Gantt (Catawba College Asst Softball Coach) - softball instruction and female athlete strength development

1:30 - Robert Johnson (Roush Racing/Core Strength and Conditioning Director) on speed & agility programs and youth strength training.

Hope you will join us, if you have questions let me know.
