    Gotta love the PRE season predictions, if you remember everyone had Ragsdale and Rocky Mount crowned before the season started last year. Many quality teams in 3A. For instance, South Central and Conley are capable of beating anyone in the EC and BE on a given night. Games are not played on paper, they are played on the field

    Impartial, the only prediction I'm going to make is that the Eastern Champion will come from the above group of teams. You're on your own in the playoffs.

    yes Karlrocket, that lis is probably a good prediction. You could narrow it down even more if you wanted. Because some teams only have one good pitcher and you can't use them every game. It's all about pitching match ups and if you can hit the opposing teams aces or manufacture a run.

    Every year there are some good examples of teams getting eliminated early. Last year: Ragsdale getting ousted by Parkland in round 1 (West) or C.B. Aycock getting one-hit by William Prince (Wilson Fike) in round 1 (East). Lake Norman had a close game against Asheboro in round 2, before going on to win the title.

    Northeastern Coastal: Hertford County 16-5
    Waccamaw: West Brunswick 16-4
    Coastal: West Carteret 16-5
    Big East: Rocky Mount 20-2
    ECC: Eastern Wayne 13-9
    Cape Fear: Gray's Creek 19-2
    Mid-State: Western Alamance 17-5
    Mid-Piedmont Northeast Guilford ?
    Carolina: Chapel Hill HS or Oxford Webb
