I took a tour during the last 2 weeks of some of my favorite HS baseball fields. I stopped by Roxboro to check my buddy, Steve Evans, to see how his field looked. Now keep in mind he books skiing lessons in between practices. He has the highest slope found in NC.

This is one one my favorites. This is James White, father of pitcher Dusty White @ Wingate, watching his son on opening day.

This picture brought tears to my eyes. The concession stand at East Meck HS--Home of the best hot dogs in Charlotte!

I always thought this was amusing. A fundraiser event by Coach Parham at South Caldwell he does each year just before opening practice.

The skiing is great! I think I will bid for the 2014 Winter Olympics, more snow here than in Vancouver... As a prelude to this upcoming event lift tickets to the top of the mound are 1/2 price!!

BTW... The summer thaw did not reveal any evidence of Stretchy...maybe he will turn up... one of these days!!
