Our DD (not a pitcher) loves the new Ringor cleats (they are rubber not metal) she just recently got.

It depend on your daughter. I played at a Mizuno school and then a Nike school. I have really skinny feet so the Mizuno ones fit me better and were lighter. When I was in the pro league I had to wear Ringors and they were really really comfortable but they were super heavy! I worked with Boombah when they were developing their cleat line and I liked them alot. I suppose its different for each person.

I am not a pitcher but I seemed to always live with them and they preferred sending their shoes to get dipped rather than using cleats like the ringors that are made for pitchers. According to them the place they would wear holes in their cleats was different from person to person.

Thanks for the replies. My DD currently wears Ringors and I was wondering if there were better cleats for pitchers. I agree they are heavy and have seen many girls wearing the new Nike's.

I would suggest Boombah. Their new cleat line has come a long way. The Vengeance is made specifically with pitchers in mind with their "flex shield" They're much lighter than the Ringors too. Only 11 oz. They run a bit narrow though, so order a half size up

DD is a 95 pitcher and loves her Ringors (Diamond Star with Pro-Tec-Toe) because they fit her size 12W feet well.

I love her Ringors because she only goes through a pair per season. She actually wears the rubber cleats off before there is a hole in the toe. This year she is moving to the metal spikes so we will see how long THEY last.

She drags the inside toe very heavily and before the Ringors, we tried Nike and Mizuno. Both of the other brands lasted 6 weeks at the most.

The Diamond Star cleat is a lighter cleat than the original Play-Maker cleat and now they have the Diamong Gem which is supposedly ultra light. We haven't tried the Diamond Gem because they have a lot of mesh.

My DD who is a pitcher wore the Ringors with Protect toe for years...a great shoe which lasts. However, last year she switched to the Tanel 360 and loves it. A much lighter cleat which has held up through last summer and fall. She will be wearing them this HS season as well.

    Ringor Cleats

My name is Gary Killingsworth and I'm the Director of Marketing at Ringor (www.ringor.com). It is our feeling that community boards are meant for "the community", so any time we participate with information about our products, it's never done by disguise, and we will always announce to the reader that this post is actually from Ringor.

Our Diamond Gem cleat and spike is our lighest weight model, contains a leather & mesh combination upper, and is also available with or without our Pro-Tec-Toes option. The Diamond Star cleat and spike is also available with or without Pro-Tec-Toes and has an all-leather upper.

We use geniune leather, full-length midsoles and the strongest outsole materials in the construction of our shoes, and although it does slightly increase the weight - the comfort, durability, and stability of the shoes are much more important.

Additionally, Ringor Diamond Gem and Diamond Star cleats and spikes are the first and only softball footwear to receive the American Podiatric Medical Association's (i.e. foot doctors) Seal of Acceptance because they provide quality and effectiveness in allowing for normal foot function and promote good foot health.

I am personally available to answer any questions that any of you may have regarding Ringor footwear, including the weight on the actual model and size of your choice.

You may contact me by email at [email protected] or by phone at 1-800-746-4670.

    Agreed...

You really need to take a look at these. My DD loves hers. She liked the Ringors but said they were too heavy. She had the pitcher's version.
