Thanks for the info. I knew AC and McDowell had pretty good teams last year and neither lost a lot but I wasn't sure if any had signed anywhere or not.

There are a few signings in the mountains this year, as always, but the talent depth is not wear it has been. AC Reynolds will have a good team but the traditional powerhouses are a little down.

Pitching. I know TC lost some, not sure about McDowell. Please keep in mind those traditional powers in the mountain such as TC (3A) and West Henderson (2A) are now 4A and 3A. There are some good baseball teams in the mountains but they will not get far once they start playing the flatlanders. Look for TC to actually place 2nd in the MAC 3A/4A behind Enka. Look for Reynolds to finish 3rd, even though they have Impacts blessing. In the AAC Tucola will be strong, with Franklin and West Henderson to be contenders. West Henderson will have some sticks but the pitching lacks a lot. Brevard will actually be the best 2A team in that 3A/2A conference but will not be able to compete as they have in the past without Hyatt(App State). Hope this clarifies my thoughts. Those of you that know me know I have the most knowledge about West Henderson. The team will be decent but they will have average players at best. The coach that actually worked to develop those average players into college prospects is gone. I look for a quick downfall and a long time recovery.

Daniel whitecavage Hopewell High school. Great student. Plays very hard and plays as a utility player. Daniel has power and can spread the ball to all fields. All conference and i think second team all meck.Could be a very special player in 2010 under coach Greeson and staff.

We watched Daniel play all last summer and fall. Kid is a player. Has a great attitude and would be a great addition to any program.

So in the MAC you guys are predicting Enka to win the conference, T.C to finish second, Reynolds third. So that leaves McDowell what fourth? Fifth? Ok well I hope the Titans continue to fly under the radar. They return their top 3 pitchers and best reliever. They return 4 out of 5 all-conference players. hey have a true power hitter in Tre Young. McDowell has to replace their leadoff man, but other than that practically the same team that finished 3rd in the NW4A, behind no one from the MAC, just South Caldwell and Watauga.

Could we please gear the topic back to the Top Uncommitted 2010's?

There's still several out there that deserve recognition.

Enka to win conference. I dont know about that. They had a bad showing Sat. agianst Brevard with a 9 to 5 defeat. Pitching was not very strong without ace picture Dale Innus on the mount. He is out until April. What about North Buncombe winning both scrimage gamesagianst very good teams in Hickory and Patton. They might be the team to watch.

So far he is still uncommitted. 14.2 innings, last 11 scoreless innings (only 3 hits in those 11 innings, threw a no hitter CG for 5 innings against North Iredell). 4 ER all against Lake Norman in his first start. 1.97 ERA, 35 Ks.

Was 86-89 last night, hit 91 a couple times.
