The word I got is that the Freedom scrimmage in Morganton is canceled.

 

Why? the weather has been good this week and suppose to be nice on Sat.

 

i dont have the full schedule for that tournament yet. i just know we have 4 games.

 

A couple of the teams who were suppose to play in Morganton will be playing at South Caldwell on sat. They called off the morganton scrimmage on Monday because of the weather. Somebody don't look real smart right now

 

Shout out to the people from St Stephens who put on an excellent scrimmage yesterday. Great weather, and some solid ball played for it being February. Had alot of fun and thanks to the St Stephens crowd again for putting on a fine event. Great to get started

 

I would also like to give a shout out to Coach Brookshire at SC. She put together a great scrimmage with only 4 days notice when the Morganton Scrimmage was cancelled. We had a huge crowd, great weather and some really good softball. Also like to thank the teams that showed up on short notice Ardrey Kell, Crest, Kings Mountain, Hibriten. All the teams were very good and I got to see a couple solid pitchers. We have another scrimmage next Sat. if the weather holds. Be hard to beat the weather this Sat, though

 

Softball this weekend

What a great day of Softball. Lets just hope next weekend is just as good.
Lots of very good teams in this scrimmage. I'm sure we will see lots of these teams have good year and make there way to the Play-offs.

Also, you could tell the players that have been working hard in the off season. Thats when your very good players are made. There were also alot of very good Freshman there this weekend. From everything I"ve been hearing this Freshman class in North Carolina is good and is going to be very good. The Pitching this weekend was outstanding, saw a couple of Pitchers that are probably just as good as anybody in the State

I went to find out tonight why the scrimmage was cancelled. I was told it was the City of Morganton that made Freedom cancel due to so much rain and snow. Wasn't anything to do with FHS. The City has been great to work with Freedom so it must have been pretty bad even though the weather was great.

well any schools that had their scrimmage cancelled last weekend and doesn't have a back up I am looking for one more team to fill a four team scrimmage this saturday. just had a team back out on me yesterday. check out my post about it for contact information.
