    Watauga 10
    Mount Tabor 3

    WP: Jake Watts (1-0) 5 2/3 IP, 3 H, 6 K
    LP: ?

    Watauga
    Cal Hardee: 3-4
    David Martin: 2-4
    Max Linville: 1-4
    Josh Wyant: 2-3
    Tyler Jones: 1-3

Watauga scored 7 runs in the first inning to set the tone and helt Tabor the rest of the game. Jake Watts came in relief early for Ethan Greene and threw a great game keeping Tabor off balance with a good curveball. Watauga travels to Asheville tomorrow to take on AC Reynolds. Watauga improves to 3-1 and is really playing good ball right now.

    Kannapolis 4 Robinson 0

Dylan May - Complete game shutout. 11 K's (all swinging K's) allowed 2 hits (1 double and 1 swinging bunt) and walked 2. Only was in "trouble" once after allowing a double with no outs, struck out 1 and then walked the next on a close call, then struck out 2 to retire the side. May has 20 K's in 12 innings, allowed 4 hits and 1 run. He did however strikeout twice himself.

    Wes Honeycutt - Solo homer
Zach Jones - Single, Run Scored and Sac Fly
Ryan Blackmon - Double and Run Scored
John J Tuttle - RBI Double
Quin Gill - RBI Double and Run Scored

Robinson Pitching was pretty good also, striking out 8 "Wonders" but gave up 4 extra base hits at the wrong time.

Charlotte Christian 14 Forsyth Country Day 4

Charlotte Christian improved to 3-1 on the year with a 10 run win versus Forsyth Country Day. Trey Laney pitched all five innings and I believe only gave up 3 hits but they were all home runs. The Knights had the bats going early as they were up 9-0 after two innings. The leading hitters were: Trey Laney: 3-4 (2B) HR, Ty Linton: 3-3 2 (2B), Bryce Bradley 2-3, Sam Fulginiti: 1-4 HR and Jake Watson 3-4 2 (2B), HR 5 RBI's. Adam Griffin for FCDS was 1-2 HR, not sure who hit the other HR's for FCDS.

    Winning Pitcher: Trey Laney
    Losing Pitcher: Tyler Alberts

The scouts were out in force yesterday with between 15-20 at the game. Definitely the most I have seen at a Charlotte Christian game since Daniel Bard was there.
