I think the Mitchell Henderson kid.. Had good pop on fastball but AC just hit it well last night. Bradshaw was taken out around the 3rd inning. Think his injury was bothering him.

    Hickory vs. Hibriten

Hickory won 10-0 last night at Hibriten. Great pitching by Tyler Poole and a good win for the Tornadoes. Hickory hosts Newton today and Foard on Friday.

I do not believe the teams on here will be able to compete with ACR this year.

    AC Reynolds 5
    Watauga 4

    WP: Tyler Pressley 1 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 1 K
    LP: Cal Hardee (2-1) .2 IP, 3 H, 3 ER

    Watauga
    Baker Stanley 3-3
    Josh Wyant 2-3
    Ryan Turner 1-3
    Max Linville 1-3

Watauga had the lead 4-2 going into the bottom of the 7th. Ryan Turner pitched the first 5 innings and did a great job only allowing 1 run. Matt Proffitt pitched part of the 5th through the beginning of the 7th and only allowed one run. Cal Hardee came in to close and got roughed up receiving his first loss of the season. Watauga is playing great as both of their losses have come late in the game after having 2 and 3 run leads. They fall to (3-2) but have been in position to win against two top teams in the state. Big conference matchup tomorrow at South Caldwell.

just for clarification the new NW3A/4A consists of the following schools...

    Alexander Central
    Fred T Foard
    Hibriten
    Hickory
    South Caldwell
    St. Stephens
    Watauga

i love seeing the scores from all over the western region and the traditional NW conference teams; Mcdowell, ACR, etc. just thought some may not know the new alignment.

if the rain holds off tonight we'll have...
    Hibriten at Saint
South and Watauga (not sure where)
    Hickory at Foard
AC has the bye and plays non-conference tomorrow vs Providence

should be a fun night on the diamond
