    Alexander Central began their defense of the schools 6th State title with a 11-0 win over Bandys in 5 innings. Chelsea Wilkenson pitched a perfect game striking out all but one batter. Lady Cougars started 2 Freshman and 5 Sophomores.

    perfect game

    way to go girls!!! and wow i didnt realize they was that young. but does anybody know if this is the first perfect game from the new pitching distance. just curious

    Way to go cougars :) I don't think it's the first perfect game. I believe one was already recorded this week. Chelsea looks just as dominant at 43 feet as she did at 40. Her rise has more time to jump, not a good thing for the hitters. They're very young, they will only continue to get better as the season progresses.

    They are a very young team but they are battle tested. Most of these girls have played together since they were 10. Sometimes playing over 100 games per year. They have also been under the coaching of Monte for the last few years. As 14U players they ranked # 1 in the Nation. The JV team has some of those players so next couple of years looks good as well.
