Bumgarner rated 10th best Prospect

One thing that concerns me is pitching in San Francisco. It's not like it was in Candelstick but often it's cold and damp. Sometimes arms don't react well to that climate. I'm sure the Giants take every precaution with their pitchers though.

SURPRISE, Ariz. — Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton left Monday night's game against the San Francisco Giants in the third inning after he was hit on the top of his left hand by a pitch from Madison Bumgarner.
"Somebody's out to get me," Hamilton said with a wry smile. "Watch out, boys. Don't stand too close."
Hamilton skipped halfway down the first base line toward the Rangers' dugout before doubling over a few feet shy of the coach's box. He walked to the bag and was replaced immediately by Brandon Boggs. After the inning, Hamilton jogged to the Rangers' clubhouse.
X-rays came back negative and Hamilton will be evaluated Tuesday morning. He already had been scheduled for a day off when the Rangers traveled to Mesa on Tuesday to play the Chicago Cubs.
"It hurt a lot but the X-rays were negative, so we'll ice it a bunch tonight, come in tomorrow and see how it feels," Hamilton said.
The 29-year-old already has missed a week of training camp with a left shoulder contusion

 

Baseball America has two recent discussions stating that Madison has not regained his velocity so far this spring and the Giants are concerned. Hope its nothing serious.
