Today my son had the game winning rbi against a tough Hopewell team.

 

After missing 4 games and trying to get healthy, my son is back and ready to play again.

 

Hunter stayed in contasct with and supported his team through his illness. As his strength returns he will again be a major part of the team. I hated to see part of his sr year lost to him, but there is plenty of baseball left and we are excited about his return.

 

He's a tough kid. He was definitely still a team leader even though he wasn't even at the field.

Taylor Thurber Junior at Lake Norman hit his first ever homerun tonight and it was a walkoff in the 8th inning.

Not only did Taylor hit the walk-off homerun, he also picked up the win on the mound after coming in relief. I know his father would never post to brag on his son, so I'll do it for him !!!! Congrates Dan and Lisa, Taylor made everyone in the Lake Norman Baseball Family PROUD!!! ENJOY THE MOMENT!Couldnt have happened to a nicer kid and family.

My Son after 2 starts and in 3 games is 2-0 with a under a 1.00 era 15Ks in 11 innings, 2 hits and 3 walks. But against Weddington yesterday he came in in the 2nd and got Grace out of a jam. Than went thur Weddington's lineup 1,2,3 back to back innings then he tweaked his hip over extending on their #2 hitter....with all the pain he was going thur finished the #3, 4 and 5 hitters (which if you know Weddington thats Boone and Co.) with a K- Pop up(Boone)- Pop up. He held them to 1 hit in 3 1/2 innings....yep I am VERY proud of my Boy!!

my son...waited patiently for me to get home from work yesterday so I could play catch with him and it started snowing about the time I pulled into the driveway. He had to do homework instead.
