    Alexander Central 6
    St. Stephens 8

St. Stephens refused to lose to a much better Alexander Central team. AC came back twice to take the lead but could not close it out. Very disappointing loss for the Cougars.

"much better?" "disappointing?" that sounds kinda harsh there stopper. it was a good ball game by 2 good teams. i understand that records may say otherwise, but the difference between these 2 teams is not nearly as great as you may want to believe.

Sorry, much better, maybe not today but on paper much better. This team has a team batting average right around .390, they lit up McKinney(90+ fastball) and has 2 or 3 D1 calliber hitters. The difference in this one was AC's approach and pitching. Twice they came back but the pitching could not close the door. SS did what they had to do to win the game but are not the better team. In baseball and other sports sometimes the better team does not prevail.

    Bunker Hill 2 Fred T Foard 1

Jeremy Null was the difference in this one. He hit two solo home runs and pitched a complete game to put the Bears in the final.

Bunker Hill will play St. Stephens in the Final after they beat Hickory 7-5 in the late game Tuesday night.

Solid pitching by Ryan Gant, Anthony Smith and Josh Cline (struck out the side in the 7th)and, once-again, timely hitting led the Indians to the victory.

    Wednesday Schedule

    3rd Place game

    (2) Hickory vs (4) Fred T Foard

    Championship game

    (1) Bunker Hill vs (6) St. Stephens 7:30
