    Northwest 5 Sun Valley 3

Northwest entered the 7th inning down 1-3 but score 4 runs to win it 5-3 at Sun Valley. The Trojans travel to East Rowan for the rematch tomorrow at 7pm. Hopefully the weather geeks are wrong and the storms will hold off.

    Whiteville 6 East Columbus 3

Andrew Scott (SR) starting pitcher for Whiteville and submarine pitcher goes the distance and records the win for Whiteville. Scott keeps East Columbus big bats off balance the entire night. When he gave up a hit, walk or batter reaching on error he was able to pitch out of it. He had the bases loaded twice and didn't let a runner score. Scott not a fast pitcher but he has a lot of movement on his pitches and has a fast ball the continues to move upward all the way to the catcher's glove.
East Columbus starter, Huston Barnes (Jr) goes four innings and takes the loss. Barnes is a real big kid, 6'2", 205 lbs. His fast ball was in middle 80's (84-86). Good movement on his breaking balls. He gave up four runs, two earned.
