Mooresville Wins 1st Annual CCBA Invitational

    Mooresville goes 3-0 to win the event hosted by West Carteret High School.

    Game 1 was an 11 inning affair over Richmond Sr High with a walk off ph double by Josh Holcombe. No small feat after sitting 9 2/3 innings on a cool windy evening.

    Game 2 was ain over Croatan High, won with a walk off rbi single by Jimmy McElhany.

    Championship game was a little more relaxed with an 11-2 victory over a very highly regarded Pinecrest High.

    2010's Jacob Mayes and Billy Nance along with 2011's Jimmy McElhany and Josh Holcomb were named all tourney and co-mvp's.

    Jimmy has been playing outstanding baseball for Mooresville since stepping in for injured player. Mooresville beats #3 ranked Pinecrest (Impact Polls). Keep playing hard boys! Sorry couldn't be down there with you guys but actually had to work.
