AAU Baseball

    Does anyone know where AAU Baseball has gone? My oldest son played it about six years ago and it was the biggest travel ball organization around. I asked a travel ball coach about it and he said he had never heard of AAU.

    Is Top Gun AAU?

    My understanding is NC AAU is trying to organize travel ball league play in NC so travel teams play more of a league format than the typical tournament weekends. Top Gun is Top Gun not AAU I believe. The most prevelant travel groups now are USSSA and nations baseball.

    Interesting.

    What was it 5 years ago? AAU was thre cream of the crop for travel ball. Did NC USSSA really claim the market? Is there no more AAU baseball in NC?

    I thought the group that ran AAU out of Concord is the same group that is now doing Top Gun out of Concord. If that's the case, it's just a tiger that changed stripes.
