    Watauga 16
    AC Reynolds 6

    WP: Jake Watts
    LP: ?

    Watauga
    Josh Wyant 4-5, 4 RBI
    Ryan Turner 4-5, 2 2B
    Cal Hardee 2-2, 2 RBI
    Josh Roberts 2-4, 2 RBI
    Matt Proffit 2-4, 2 RBI
    Max Linville 1-4, HR
    David Martin 1-4 2 RBI

    Reynolds
    Phillip Treadway 2-2, HR, 2B

Watauga finally got the bats rolling vs the Rockets as they collected 18 hits. It was a great time to start playing hot again right before they face South Caldwell at home Tuesday. That will be a very big game for the conference and expect a lot of people to show up in Boone to watch.

    Watauga 11
    South Caldwell 10
    Final (9 Innings)

    WP: Dylan Norris: 3 IP
    LP: Tyler Bumgarner: 2.2 IP

    Watauga
    Josh Roberts: 4-6
    Josh Wyant: 3-5
    David Martin: 2-3
    Baker Stanley: 2-3
    Cal Hardee: 2-4
    Max Linville: 2-6

    South Caldwell
    Bryson Bowman: 4-6
    Blake Johnson: 2-4

This had to be the best high school baseball game I've ever seen in my life. So many different people stepped up for each team in many clutch situations. South got an early 5-1 lead, but Watauga put a 5 spot to take the lead in the bottom half. In the top of the 9th, South strung together 2 runs and it looked like they were going to pull it out, but Bumgarner struggled and walked to guys and let up a hit to load the bases. He buckled down and struck out two in a row, and with 2 strikes and 2 outs, Josh Roberts laced a double to scored two runs and tie the game. With Cal Hardee up and two strikes, a wild pitch scored Baker Stanley to win the game for Watauga. Both teams played their hearts out and gave the fans something special to watch. Watauga will host Hibriten Friday night and they will be retiring former Watauga pitcher Will Dicus' number that passed away from cancer last year.

    St. Stephens 24
    Hibriten 6 (6 innings)

Saint came out with hot bats from the start. Don't have the stats right in front of me, but the Indians ended up with 20 hits on the night, and I can't remember a Hibriten error off the top of my head.

    WP - Sawyer Smith (3-0)
    LP - Kyle Haney

Again, no stats in front of me, but Brandon Martin hit a 2-run HR for Saint.

St. Stephens improves to 7-8 (2-6 NW3A/4A) and hosts Fred T. Foard on Friday night.

    Other Score
    Hickory 2
    Foard 1

Watauga continues to play well and gets another conference win vs Hibriten. Junior Dylan Norris got ahead in the count and had some pop on his fastball tonight to get his 4th win of the year. Watauga will host Providence in a non-conference matchup tomorrow. Should be another great day for baseball!
