    AC at St. Stephens

    Alexander Central 17
    St. Stephens 14

    Highlights: Chris Ikerd 4 hits(1 HR), LaSalle 3 hits(1HR), Brennen James (2-run HR), Galliher 2 hits/2rbi's

Pitching: Millsaps picks up the save with a K in the bottom half of the 7th.

Obviously not much pitching in this one but both teams swung the sticks and battled for 7 innings.

    AC vs Saint Stephens

Definitely an exciting game here - back & forth for over 3 hours! Alexander ends up on top with 17 hits, 3 of them being BOMBS out of the park! 8 out of 9 batters hitting over 400 for Alexander. Keep it up Cougars - must be those old 'throwback' uniforms???!!!

    Alexander Hitting:
    Sr - Chris Ikerd - 4-5 (1HR) 3 RBI's
    Jr - Lukas LaSalle 2-4 (2 run HR) 3 RBI's
    Jr - Logan Galliher 2-4, 3 RBI's
    Sr - Will Marlowe 2-4
    Jr - Brennan James 1HR

    Saint Stephens:
    Jr - Jacob Hoyle - 2 hits (1HR) 4 RBI's
    Sr - J. Kerley - 2 hits, 2 RBI's
    Sr - B. Martin - 1 hit, 4 RBI's

ACHS - Millsaps with save in 7th inning with 3 pitches!
St Stephens exhausts 7 pitchers during this battle

ACHS to play N.Iredell on Wednesday -- at WATAUGA on Friday

    Watauga 8
    Fred T. Foard 0

    WP: Cal Hardee 7IP, 1 H, 16K
    LP: Henderson

    Watauga
    Tyler Jones 2-2, 2B
    Max Linnville 1-3, HR
    Josh Wyant 2-4, 2B
    Cal Hardee 1-3, RBI
    David Martin 1-2, 2B
    Josh Roberts 1-3, RBI

Watauga gets a big win tonight to improve to 7-2 in the conference and sets up a huge game Friday vs Alexander Central who is 8-1 in the conference. Cal Hardee had a no-hitter through 6 2/3 innings before the leadoff hitter for Foard knocked a single into left field. Should have a big crowd on hand Friday night for first place in the conference or at least a share of it.

    Watauga 6

Great game to watch, both teams battled all night. Tough break for the Cougars in the top half of the 6th, questionable interference call for the 3rd out strands 2 runners on 2nd and 3rd. Pioneers score 1 in the bottom of the 6th to make it 6-3. Cougars get a hit from Chapman with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th but Hardee makes a great play up the middle to rob Arms of a base hit to end the game. Both teams have 2 losses in the conference. Cougars need to win at home against South Caldwell tuesday, finish with a win at Hibriten and hope Hickory knocks off watauga to win the conference.
