    Paul Faulk, then a scout with the Rays and now a national cross-checker with the Braves, when asked by a friend of mine, when it came right down to it, what it takes to make it as a hitter...

    "Billy, when you boil it right down, it comes down to two things... women and the curve ball. If a boy can stay out of trouble with the first 'un and hit the second 'un, he can go far in this game!"

    I learned a long time ago to do your coaching at practice and let em play during the games.... made a difference for me.

    When someone yells "Head's Up" at a ballgame, don't actually look up.

    Best advice..

    You need to rest your arm for the next 2 weeks and then take up golf..

    Speaking of arms

    Stay Behind The L-Screen!

    We lost our starting 1st baseman last week, about 30 minutes before we were to play Rocky Mount. He was drilled in the arm during cage hitting before the game. Painful lesson.

    That the ideal coaching job would be at Oxford Orphanage--Why ? No parents to listen to.
