UNC OR NCSU for 8th & final slot - ACC Tourn.

both teams at 11-13 now with 2 remaining 3-game sets.
UNC goes to UVa. and hosts Va. Tech.
STATE goes to FSU and hosts Duke.

Go Pack, Cavs, & Hokies!!!!

 

.....FSU and UVA both rock. Duke is at the bottom so I figure that if NCSU can sweep Duke and get 1 from FSU then that'll be what should be considered "the best they can do".

As for UNC, UVA is the best hitting team in the conference so the likelyhood of pulling off a win in that series is gonna be tough.

Who knows?

I do know this, the ACC baseball tournament set up is full of shit!

Lets see,hhhmmm, the top team in each division and then the next best out of both divisions to round out an 8 team format?! PPHHLLLLLUUGGGGHHHHHHH.

agree but

agree that all teams should be in the tourney, but on the other hand they all know the deal when the season starts.

on paper, State's chances look better than UNC's, but that's why you lace 'em up and play the games..........anything can happen. If State doesn't make the ACC tourn., I think they'll look back at being swept by BC as a backbreaker.

UNC loses a doubleheader at UVA and right now NCSU has just lost their lead to FSU in the 7th its FSU 7 NCSU 5.

Pack has a little bit of an advantage for the 8th spot but definitely no cushion.

Noles do win game 2. every game for heels and pack is critical, sort of. neither team should make the NCAA's. State should sweep Duke next weekend, but it's too just unpredictable.
If State baseball doesn't make the ACC tourn., that will be 2 years in a row.

this will be interesting. NCSU has jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning of game 3. Can we keep the lead and take the series? starting pitcher for Pack is a freshman Ethan Ogburn (from High Point) with only 12 innings pitched this season. Go Pack, I hope!
