Alexander Central @ South Caldwell kinda jumped out at me.

The "East" brackets, with all essentially having 1-4 seeds, are a lot cleaner than the West, which has top teams matching up from the start and wiping each other out along with the potential for two No. 1 seeds facing in the 2nd round. The survivor out of the west will be pretty beat up by the time they get to the championship.

The easiest road out of the West to the 4th round could be for the winner of the S. Caldwell-Alexander Central game. That game could have easily been a 3rd round game if they didn't have to face each other so early. A Mallard Creek-Mooresville 2nd round game could also be interesting.

The toughest brackets are the bottom two for the West. Even Myers Park with its wild card spot is going to be challenging. It can be argued the bottom bracket essentially has 3 No. 1 seed quality teams in Watauga, Lake Norman and TC Roberson.

    And all this means....nothing

Starting with the top of the 4A bracket with the first 4 teams here is how the win totals of each "4 team bracket" shake out:
Impact Poll teams in bold;..........>>>>>>>>>>..Impact Poll As of 4/25
    Guilford, N. Meck, N. Davidson S. Meck=65 ................Impact #5

    E. Forsyth, Dudley, Ardrey Kell, Mt. Tabor=67 ............Impact #7

    W. Forsyth, Glenn, S. Alamance, Ragsdale=71 ..........Impact #3 and #10

Providence, Davie, SW Guilford, SE Guilford=70 ........Impact #9 and #4

    W. Meck, Mallard Creek, Porter Ridge, Mooresville=47

    S Caldwell, Alexander C, AC Reynolds, Olympic=60 .....Impact #8

Sun Valley, Myers Park, Hopewell, E. Meck=59

TC Roberson, Lake Norman, Watauga, E Gaston=59

    let's hope for good weather!!!

    West top

The Top half is MUCH harder than the bottom. South Caldwell is OK in the bottom as well as Watauga (maybe 2nd round if in the TOP), and that is it! Top half has Kell, WF, ND, Prov, and SE Guil. WOW all could be STATE contenders!

WF 22-4 *Wins the CPC and CPC Tourny and has the hardest road (according to impact)

    4A West bracket

the top half of the bracket is much tougher then the bottom. There are so many teams capable of contending from the state title. with Kell, Providence, SE Guilford, S. Alamance, North Davidson and West, and then lower seeds with loads of talent like Davie, Tabor, and south meck theres no question that the overall level of teams on this half of the bracket is much higher. There's no doubt that there will be some great games played on friday and throughout the tournament. Good luck to all teams.

I'll tell you when the first upset will occur. When a coach gets too smart and holds out his best pitcher for the next game---unfortunately, they won't see their next game as their stud is not on the bump.

SW Guilford(23-4) vs SE Guilford(18-5) in 1st Rd?

Thats sick. Got to be one of the best games.

SW has 2 aces in Brock Hudgens(UNCC) and Matt Orth and are one of the best 1-2 pitcher combos around. They will be very difficult to beat. The bats will need to come alive and give some run support.

SE Guilford has SS Tiger Miller(FL) leading the way.

As a Ragsdale fan, been there, done that. Pain. Many in our community probably still have not gotten over it.

It happens. The best plans of mice and men............
