Reality set in today when I saw Hough Huskies T-Shirts all around North Meck...our entire JV team except 1 will be Hough Players next season. I also heard all but four of the Hopwell JV squad will be at Hough next season.

Young but very talented group of players. Also a few varisty players from North (2 pitchers) and 2 varisty players from Hopewell. IMeck Champs within three years! Coach Jimmy Cochran is walking into a great situation.

Who will be at Hough HS from NMHS and HHS? Any other Xfers in?

    What positions do they play?
    V/JV experience?
    Pitcher R/L
    Bats R/L

A lot of excitement about Hough HS Baseball in the H/C/D communities. Way too early to make predictions about where this team will place in the I-Meck next year. Definitely a young team with no seniors. See how the dust settles at Hopewell and with NMHS after state playoffs. Coach Cochran all smiles I am sure.

Big unknown is if 6'8" sophmore Johnny Piedmonte will go to Hough or stay at North Meck

you will have to look at the JV rosters for for North and Hopewell as I do not know all the names - all but 1 from NM JV and all but 4 from HW JV.

I believe these players with varisty experience will be at Hough:
    1. J Piedmonte 6'8 RHP rising JR & can bring it - solid hitter - can play 1st, SS, and OF - #3 pitcher at NM as sophmore - leads team with HR
    2. Nate Mays 5'11 CF rising JR - good hitter - fastest kid on NM squad
    3. Blake Dueitt 6'3 RHP & can bring it - solid hitter - can catch & play 3rd - freshman at HW on varisty squad
    4. Brandon Gragilla 6'5 LHP - rising sophmore - playing varisty for NM during playoffs - good hitter
    5. Jared Sobo - rising jr - starting 2nd baseman for HW varisty all year as sophmore
there are many others but i believe these are the only ones with Varisty experience -

The Hough Staff must be giving these away - I'm seeing Hough Husky t-shirts everywhere now - they are all over town...

Not giving them away...Just selling them for a good price from what I have seen. Lots of excitement in the area, especially among the middle school 8th graders who will be attending the new high school next year (Of which my son will be one - And yes, he has a t-shirt).

There is a lot of excitement in the Cornelius & Davidson area. I agree - middle school kids are also excited. Can't wait to get started... Coach Cochran will have a youg team with a lot of potential. We'll have to wait and see if he can get them to gel and play together as a team...
