    South Granville 2 Louisburg 1. SG's Will Bullock worked 5 crafty innings allowing just one run on 3 hits allowed. Louisburg senior Chase Ragland was consistant as has been his four years there was the hard luck loser , had 2 of Louisburg's hits, and drove in the lone run. This was a good game

    Providence losing was probably an upset, but as good as Marvin Ridge and Weddington were, I certainly don't consider Carson beating MR, or South Rowan beating Wedd an upset at all. Those games were simply bad draws for MR and Wedd because anyone who follows 3A baseball in the west will tell you the North Piedmont Conference is quite possibly the strongest 3A baseball conference in the state year in and year out. That conference has had the west rep in the state finals a number of recent years, and I wouldn't be the least surprised at all if all 4 teams from that conference (ERowan, SRowan, Carson and WIredell) all win 2nd round games too. West Iredell will have the toughest 2nd round matchup because they face a red hot NW Cabarrrus team who has peaked at the right time.

    Btw, NW Cabarrus is a former NPC team, as was Mooresville and Lake Norman who went up to 4A this year. Tough baseball league.

    Jordon Ramsey gets the win for ND

    North hits 3 homeruns including a walk off by Cody Atkins in the bottom of the 5th. S. Meck. pitchers hit 6 North Davidson batters and their defense committed 6 errors in the loss.
