the person on 2nd can get really intresting.

this weekend heard a parent go up to a coach and tell him that the pitcher wasnt grunting when she threw her change up.

A few years ago was watching DDs HS game. I immediately noticed that the other pitcher would grunt loud when she threw a fastball, less (very noticeable) for off speed pitches, and barely at all for a change up. After the game I asked the DD if they noticed it. She said her and a teammate noticed it right away and told the other girls. Unfortunately it didn't seem to help them. :)

I agree with the other posts. Get in the box and just focus on hitting.

We used a series of signs, only the pitcher and catcher knew which ones. So if a fastball was one finger, I would give multiple signs. We may be taking the 3rd one inning, the second next go around or use a tap on the bucket to move up one or down one during an inning. I always made sure the parent who could see got a good view. As soon as he started tipping the batter on the rise or change, we would switch the progression.

Why not just teach your kids to hit and forget stealing signals?

Funny how the best pitchers seem to rock always regardless of stolen signals and then the real hitters in HS or TB and then college seem to be at the top of the list in hitting.

Do you think these pitchers or hitters continue to be the best in each level get there ability by virtue of stealing signals?
