what games are your crews covering friday?

 

I arrived at this game yesterday 25 minutes late and it was already in the 3rd inning and all runs were scored....and that was it. No other excitement or opportunities to score for either team. The pitchers dominated after MP's initial runs (which I did not see.)

The game took 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete!!!!! Umpires were very happy!

I have seen Conley before and was not surprised by his excellent effort, but Hedberg was amazing. He doesn't have overpowering stuff, but he is an expert with his location. One of the best pitching performance I have seen this year. He's going to be able to transfer that skill to the next level because he has already learned to pitch to contact.

 

Just starting to plan now. Not sure. We've still got a lot of local teams left in all the sports and have to put together a plan -- in terms of advances and game stories -- that speaks to all of that.

And you've got to do it within a given amount of newspaper space.

 

Your new friend at TC Roberson would love to see you ...take the family. Asheville is beautiful this time of year.

 

The pictures are fantastic......the captions that go with them are wacky! A throw from shortstop to first is described as a throw from the outfield to second base. The first base bag is described several times as the plate.

Great pics though, and a good story!
