Coach Spencer has done a marvelous job with his team. To understand that he lost 3 quality pitchers to the next level and pitching remains their strength is a testament to good coaching.

Most people would look at their end of season record and believe this team is not capable of going deep into the playoffs, but this is what makes the playoffs so dangerous for top seeded teams. It's not how you start the season, but how much you improve during the season and how you finish. It's a battle tested team on a roll. They have great team chemistry, very good pitching and their defense has stepped up. Losing Hager should not be minimized, but instead of moping over it the team has rallied behind his loss. That's good coaching folks!

When Coach Spencer was at risk last year of losing his position at the school due to budget cuts, the supporters at Myers Park rallied to his defense. He has demonstrated this year to everyone why they were so passionate of having him return.

Great job Mustangs. This team reminds me of the "Pan Clan" of Rob Wilson-Robert Woodard days.

Best of luck to Myers Park in the playoffs. If AK couldn't win back to back tiltles, hopefully the conference can. Coach Spencer does a great job and the players, can play! Bring it home!!

If that is the case, it will test a pitching staff.

District on Monday, Sectional on Tuesday, Regional on Thrusday, Friday, Saturday.

It certainly will reward the teams where the coach developed his staff over the course of the season. The two man staffs will have a challenge.

    Spencer has them Ready

John Spencer has shared enough innings around that he has them ready. One game at a time - Roberson is obviously VERY confident, and rightly so.

We are all Mustang fans now, leave it all on the field with no regrets.

It's all my fault. I'm the Great Jinx-A-Lot.

Perhaps I should go back to my old policy of never writing about baseball, eh?
