haha well we've always known that we had the potential to be very good. we struggled early in the season with coming together as a team and you know just making the routine plays. but all the sudden we all just stepped up our game and we know that every game could be our last and we're not ready for that to happen. were cutting down on all of our mistakes and were making huge plays when we need to. and were not looking past any team because every game in the playoffs is going to be a tough game. every team now won their conference or has a huge winning record and are great ball teams. so we just go out there take it one game at a time and we always leave it on the field. and yes we have far exceeded our own expectations. March 24 2010 we never would have imagined that we would be in the position that were in now. its unbelievable. WE LOVE IT!!!!

I love it! A great example of not having to have the best players to make you an outstanding TEAM. It's all about your brother beside you stepping up

I completely agree with you. we were not opposed to finishing the game somewhere else at a later time. we were trying to fine somewhere dry that night that had lights so we could finish the last 9 outs. everyone is making it seem like were the bad guys and were really not. like i said we worked out butts off trying to get the field in shape but we ran out of time. i just loved how all the Reynolds players sat in the dugout and watched and didnt attempt to even ask for help. there was one kid that did help. but everyone else just sat and watched. ALL of our fans were out there helping with something. if reynolds were really in that big of a hurry they could have helped a little bit.

the bottom line is this, if there had been lights, it would not have mattered when the tarp was put on, how hard either team worked, and how much kitty litter they had, because the game would have been finished at nine, like all the other state 4A playoff games played that day. this is why when a coach asks to play the game at a field with lights, suck up your pride and play the game under lights.

this has absolutly nothing to do with sucking up our pride? we never opposed of finishing the game at another time and location. like i said we did not like winning that way. and we all do feel bad that it was called that way.it was not our call so dont make us look like the bad guys. i was told that reynolds did not want to make the trip back down here as well

    Bottom line

playoff games should be completed and the NCHSAA should only get involved to declare a suspended game as a final if days run out before the next round starts.

To my understanding, if that top half had not been completed before delay, it would have been suspended and you all would have come back the next day - so you're really talking one strike, one out timing-wise. I will say that I have NEVER seen a home team get "screwed" in this scenario.

I once sat through an on and off rain delay of one hour (as a visiting coach/team) while the home team did not pull out a tarp that was rolled up in their bullpen area. An hour later, game called, we never bat in the 6th or 7th. Missing two at bats, that was gut-wrenching.

Do football or basketball have this happen? NO!
Play them out until it just can't be done because the next round is the next day. Even then... well, I'm beating a dead horse.

the top half had been completed. it was the bottom of the 6th. like i said earlier they had 6 chances to put up runs and they never did while we only had 5. and yes your right this is like beating a dead horse. so for everyone who wants to keep bad mouthing PR you can stop now. Ive made my point.
