    Awesome.

How cool, and big, would it be for PCC to win the D1 JUCO World Series and LCC win the D2 JUCO World Series. Pitt County and Lenoir County would go nuts.

    PCC players moving on

    Stretchy,

This team is full of some first class kids and families. My son came on board this year as a soph. My only regret is that he didn't start out here and play both years.

The team is led, in my opinion, by Trey Holmes who was selected as the Region X player of the year. One hell of a hitter who is also a leader. Folks from the Western part of the state are very familiar with him both as a HS player and a big part of Legion baseball in Rowan County. The lineup can hit from top to bottom and we have some speed on the bases.

The pitching staff is solid with all four weekend starters moving on to the next level. And it doesn't end there. The staff goes at least 10 deep with little drop off in ability. You may see two young men drafted in June from this staff. The scouts showed up often at our games.

Right now, the players below are moving on to play again next year. I hope this is not the final "tally" as there are some fine young men not yet picked up or committed anywhere. I hope they get the chance.

Holmes didn't make an error all year. ALL YEAR! That's unbelievable.

And they get to face the likely number 1 draft pick next month Bryce Harper and the College of Southern Nevada. The kid is a beast.

To get them to the World Series he went 6-6 with 4 hr, 2b, 3b (10 rbi's). WOW.

He is essentially a high school junior. After the family decided it would make no sense to keep him in high school baseball, where he would get walked 4 times a game, he "dropped" out of high school after his sophomore year, got his GED and enrolled at CSN. He is now draft eligible, like i said, as a high school junior.

The PCC softball team also made it to the world series. Good spring they are having over there.
