    How does the regional work in the 2 out of 3 format? Top seed hosts all three games? Is there a doubleheader or do the teams work that out?

    Top seed, such as East Forsyth, hosts all regional games, whether two or three. Part of policy for this year; posted on NCHSAA site.

    Now, it can be worked out as a Friday single and Saturday double-header, or three day event.

    With travel for TC, I would think they would ask for Friday and possible Saturday double-header. otherwise they drive back and forth to Kernersville minimum of two days, maybe three. Not a trip I would want to make at 10:00pm two nights.

    Correct. All games at higher seed this year.

    Pitching doesn't have much time to re-coup. Play Tuesday night, & then next round starts on Thursday night. Get out the Advil & the ice.

    So either ER or NWC winner, could have to play 4 straight? (tonight and then 2 or 3 in the 3A West finals, Thu.-Sat.) I'm assuming either school would request a Friday game, then a Sat. doubleheader?
