    Exciting game! Frye pitched another complete game gem.

    Apex threatened in the first with the bases loaded and no outs but Frye struck out the side on 10 pitches. Lee struck first with a 2R HR by Verilli in the 2nd. Lee added one more in the 4th.

    Apex scored 2 in the top of the 6th on a 2 out single to LF which was misplayed by the LF allowing the runner on 2nd and 1st to score on the play. Then a crazy call on a play at 1B allowed another Apex run to score (obstruction on the first baseman who was playing the throw from 2B and pulled him down the line and caused him to collide with the runner).

    The score remained 3-3 until the bottom of the 7th, 2 outs and Frye hit a bomb.

    Frye ended with a complete game effort, 13K's, 1 ER and 5 hits. That is 3 starts in the post-season with 3 CG and has allowed 5 ER.

    Lee County advances to play Laney for the East Finals.

    Lee County at Laney, Game 1 is tonight. Games 2 and possibly 3 tomorrow starting at 11am.

    Frye pitched a CG on Wednesday for Lee. It'll be interesting to see if/when he gets back on the bump.
