Huntersville post 321 beat charlotte post 262 with a final score of 6-5. Hunter May would throw 7 strong innings and leave the game with a 5-4 lead. In the 8th Ryan Ogden pitched thru some trouble but was able to get out of a jam with the 5-4 lead. Aaron Spano would close the game by recording the last three outs. Huntersville went up 2-0 in the 1st inning on a walk to Nate cooper followed by a couple of errors by charlotte. Charlotte would battle back to tie the game at 2 in the 6th inning. In the 7th inning slugger kyle Himler would get a base on balls followed by Daniel Whitecavages base on balls. Keith Prowse would make it costly for the charlotte pitcher by driving a pitch over the right center wall for a three run homer to make the score 5-2. Charlotte would not go away as they would tie the game up in the 8th at 5. bottom of the 8th Diego Perez hit a solo Homerun to put Huntersville back on top to stay as they move to 7-0. Huntersville will play Thursday and Friday with back to back games vs pineville.
