I saw Newton and Limbaugh pitch extreamly well against the Dirtbags. Newton hit 88 and pitched around 85/86. Limbaugh was in the lower 80's. The dirtbags have some extreamly good players, but the LM pitching held them in check. Newton did hang one and Carter made him pay with a shot over centerfield. The DB's did use wood bats in this game.

Against the 16U DB's- Sykes, Mackey and Hudspeth pitched well.
Against the 17U Mavericks- Ferrell, Oliver and Cudequest pitched well also.

Some quality hitting- Taylor, Lawerence (this kid can flat out hit), the #2 hitter- little guy- I do not know his name- several guys were finding holes. The baserunning was good- saw some singles stretched into doubles, and doubles into triples.

They had 2 game called due to time, where the LM's had runners in scoring position and didnt get a change to finish the inning.

the little guy is travis musselman, tyler farmer, jonathan taylor all play for c.b.aycock. Lawerance is a good hitter and SS. yes, dirtbags did use wood bats. Don't matter if you only had one hit and alot of strike outs.

Thank You-I dont know all the kids names. I just know I like those little guys who hustle and are a pain to get out. This kid is one of those guys. Aycock should be ok next year, I would think! I belive you are right- that was the only hit the DB's got. I know the SS for them is very fast. It was a fun game to watch

All the players that have been mentioned in this thread are good players. Generally speaking, when a team uses wood bats, (especially this early in the season) they are getting ready for a wood bat tournament later on. There is some adjusting to do.
