.....whats your take on this gig?
Is it the right pitch thrown?
Do you bring in your 2B by the pitcher and move your 1B back?
Where do you play your OF?
Do you play the SS and 3B up close and hope you don't get a looper into deep short?

Are there situations that you could careless about the slapper and play standard defense?

    Just asking.
    Thanks.

i find that the best way to defend the slap is that old approach: "wax on, wax off". especially when that slap is coming from the shoulder level, that approach works really well when combined with the "turn your butt and run fool" attitude. :REDanceBanana001:

correct pitch and inverted defense on normal field conditions. if the field is hard as a rock, there really is no defense for a slapper, they just smash it into the ground and are usually on first before it comes down.

depends on the slapper. there are a lot of girls out there that pretend to slap but really dont do anything but hit it to the 3rd baseman. on a true slapper i would go inverted at SS and 2nd and pull the outfield in and have the RF sort of play a right center position.

The really good slappers love when the infield and outfield is in. They then can slap it over the outfielders heads. Take Jessica Plemmons or Erica hte Attitudes Shortstop. Come up close and it is going deep. If the outfield is up the holes are just deeper.
