Can legion team play in showcase tourney?

I was wondering if our legion team can play in showcase. After watching showcase, our legion team can play showcase teams.

 

Lee Co. played in a Showcase at Campbell a couple of years ago when my son was playing with the Canes.

 

If you have the cash you can play in any tourney, showcase or other.

 

outtahere is correct. A lot of legion teams play showcase teams during the season.

 

There are many college players on Legion teams so are you saying college players should be playing showcase?

 

Mooresville and East Rowan Legions play showcase after legion is over. Most if not all college kids are back at school. Aug is a dead showcase month, and college starts before Sept games.

 

Sorry, but not true.
I tried to enter two different fall tournies put on by an "unnamed" showcase entity that is "very popular" here in NC. Neither time was I even responded to, though I contacted by email and phone messages. I was clear with who I was and that I was looking to enter a team of "my players" from "my school", not a collection of showcasers. Again, I was never even contacted back.

To note, I did attempt to question the organization and it's owner(?) about never returning my interest, but was still never addressed. When I finally got the chance to introduce myself face to face to the "head man" at a state games scout day, he literally turned pale when I said my name and school and told me he "had to go" and trotted off.

 

This happens quite a lot. I can only guess why they don't reply, but the fact is many of them don't. If they don't know your team, they won't allow you to enter....and they won't reply why.

If there is a team out there looking to play in a tournament, I suggest you contact my friend Stretchy. He is very accommodating and has good tournaments...and will return emails and phone calls.
