Mint Hill held a 4 run lead throughout the game but Huntersville kept crawling and scratching and finally wins it in the bottom of the 9th!! A lot of excellent defensive plays on both sides.

I was very impressed with the Huntersville SS (Diego Perez). This kid seems to have his head on straight and not only can really play the game, but totally respects it.

Can't make that same statement for some of the parents in the stands and the kid in the dugout (who didn't play btw) screaming like a little girl the entire game! You should be embarrassed!!

American Legion baseball is about respect for our service men and women. We represent that respect thru game. Its perfectly fine to cheer and encourage your team but when you belittle and mock the opposing team, you cross the line. The players on the field gave this game 110% and it showed from start to finish. It's a shame we had to listen to the "side show".

you sound like you could be a sore loser. Mint Hill team screamed and shouted out of the dugout the entire time they were winning and made some remarks that were unexceptable. If anyone should be embarrassed it should be Mint Hill team who did'nt have the pitching to hold up for 9 innings. Maybe you as parents should get behind your team and help pull them thru the tight games(you should be embarrassed for sitting on your hands) watching your team choke. Was there any disrespect shown toward our service men and women? Your team was treated like little girls. Now go fight for third or fourth place.

Easy guys...this is American Legion forum and we allow a little trashtalking, but still no personal attacks.

 

no doubt the coach in question is a great head coach. Its always hard for a new coach to learn his players in so little time. The guy can coach and the kids learned from him.

 

You are correct bigstar. It does take some time. However, I would like to comment on Keith Prowse. I was very excited to see him play this year. He is everything I had heard and since I'm very close to Coach Lowe at Surry, we have had some discussions about him. I can say without a doubt that Coach Lowe is excited to have him in his program and is counting on him to help lead his team.

Keith is getting ready to start his future as a college player and I wish him all the success. He will find his HS experience as a memory of playing with good friends and some special games, but they will pale in his memories of his college experience.

Once again I applaud the Mint Hill Coach's and Team and their parents for showing CLASS which some teams and coach's dont have.

 

Braves thank you for the kind remarks. Keith has worked very hard to get his game where it needs to be for the next level. I can promise you that he will not let Coach Lowe down at Surry. Keith has always shown lots of respect for all of his coaches and never reads or post on this forum. The forum is great and just like to have fun and ruffle some feathers sometimes. Never mean any harm by anything said here. sometimes i guess we just just ignore some of the post.

We didn't have to sell our soul or reputation to get it!! The parents of the Mint Hill legion team are proud of all the players for their hard work and spirit.
