    Kyle Byrd (OF, 2011) of Holly Springs High School has committed to play baseball at UNC-Asheville.

    Congrats to Byrd and his family.

    I think I saw all of HS's home games this past school year.
    You are right: Kyle has some game.

    Congratulations!

    My son has played with Kyle since they were in coach pitch. Kyle is a fantastic athlete who is going to bring speed, power, and tons of hustle to UNCA. Still remember him riding in the back of my car when he was a kid and asking him if he might have to miss a practice for another commitment. He replied, "No sir, baseball always comes first." He plays with that mentality to this day.
