    Wayne 5-4
    New Bern 1-7

    AREA 1-WEST

    Benson 0-9

    National
    Cary 7-0
    Durham 4-4
    N. Raleigh 3-6
    Raleigh 1-5

Kinston has a conference game with New Bern Thursday. If Kinston wins they finish 1st in South

Cary has two conference games with Raleigh, Durham has a conference game with Raleigh. Top two in national conference are locked, if Raleigh wins all three they would move ahead of N. Raleigh.

Thank you very much for the update! Also, if New Bern wins, Kinston is 3rd.

    curious

I wonder if the South Division standings are correct. Pitt and Kinston were supposed to have played Tuesday in Greenville, but it rained most places in eastern NC. The standings posted here seem to indicate that Kinston won, although there is no record of the game in the Kinston or Greenville papers. While a lack of coverage could be the culprit, Kinston coach Ronnie Battle called Wilson coach Rusty Dail this morning about their scheduled game this Saturday in Wilson. Battle said that, because of rainouts and because he needed to get two conference games in this week, vs. Pitt and New Bern, he wanted to cancel the Wilson game.

If Kinston and Pitt have not, in fact, played, Pitt is 6-2 and Kinston 4-3. If Kinston wins at New Bern tonight and at Pitt, presumably, on Saturday, they win the South Division; a loss in either game gives Pitt the top spot and places Kinston third by virtue of head-to-head w/Wayne County.

In playing Pitt Co. Post 39 the other day they seemed to confirm that it all came down to last nights game between Kinston and New Bern. Not too sure these records came directly from the Area 1 commish.
