Area IV Legion B All-Star game and Skills Challenge

    The 1st annual Legion B All-Star Baseball game and Skills Challenge will be held at Bessemer City High School July 23rd, 24th and 25th. We are getting great feedback for this event and look forward to a great weekend for the players, coaches, parents and area veterans.

    Legion B All-Star Weekend.

    Yes this is junior Legion. We had 4 divisions in Area IV, 32 teams. Each team submitted two names each. Each division will have an all-star team made up of a 16 man roster. Each team will play two games that weekend so all players will play equal time . This is a showcase event for the players, will be covered by the Gaston Gazette and other local newspapers.The opening ceremony and skills challenge should be alot of fun for players, coaches and parents. Looking forward to a great weekend of baseball.

    Area IV Junior Legion All-Star Game & Skills Challenge

    This is more info on the Junior Legion All-Star Game. The event will be held on July 23rd, 24th and 25th at Bessemer City High School. On Friday night the 23rd we will have our opening ceremony, at this t,ime we will introduce the players and coaches, our honorary veteran captains and our honorary batboys and batgirls that have parents serving in the military. Each of our four teams from the divisions will be named after a branch of service: Team Army, Team Navy, Team Air Force and Team Marines. Each player will be announced and a Bio will be read telling about his season,the team he played for, the high school he attends,his graduation dateand his parents or guardians.We will then proceed with our skills challenge that will include a homerun derby,around the horn infield challenge,golden arm challenge,need for speed baserunning challengeand the top gun catchers challenge.The ceremony will start at 7:00 PM on Friday night (23rd). The games will be played on Saturday(24th) at 5:00 PM and 7:30. The Sunday(25th) games will start at 2:00 and 4:30.
